Tonkatsu Sauce

Although I pretty much only make Tonkatsu Sauce to go with Tonkatsu Pork I suspect it would work well wherever you use Barbecue Sauce. Much like my regular Barbecue Sauce this starts with a ketchup base, to which a host of flavours are added.

Though unlike my other recipe this doesn’t need to be cooked and can be served pretty much straight away if you’re in a rush. I’d recommend chilling it for a few hours to let the flavours develop, but sometimes needs must, eh?

Tonkatsu Sauce

Also referred to as "Japanese Barbecue Sauce" this sweet/sour/savoury sauce is usually served with deep fried breaded pork (tonkatsu) but goes well with so many other dishes.
